This class provides the foundation for installing, configuring, and using Double-Take in a Windows environment. Through a series of lectures and hands-on lab exercises, you will learn how to correctly install and implement Double-Take to ensure success in most business environments.
Class Prerequisites
This class is designed for a wide variety of individuals, from sales personnel to system engineers. You are most likely to have success in this class if you possess the following skills:
- Have intermediate knowledge of the Windows 2003 Server interface and familiarity with its terminology including connecting to network shares, using the Windows Explorer to cut, paste, copy files, add or connect to network shares/drives, and navigate the Windows operating system without instruction.

DTA324 - Double-Take for Windows: Configuration and Common Applications
This class provides a technical overview of Double-Take architecture, and practice using Double-Take Command Language (DTCL) for common functions. Additionally, you will use Double-Take and Performance Monitor utilities to extract and analyze information to resolve performance problems. The latest best practice guidelines for successful implementation and troubleshooting are also provided.
Application-level labs for cluster-to-cluster failover using Double-Take, High-Availability for MS SQL Server 2000 using Double-Take, and the Exchange Protection Wizard (XPW) are included in this class.
Class Prerequisites
This class is a continuation of DTW124 and builds on its basic concepts and skills. Consequently, the successful completion of the DTW124 instructor-led class, or passing the CDP certification exam is required before enrolling in this class. Additionally, you are most likely to have success in this class if you possess the following skills:

GC144 - Clustering Solutions with Double-Take and GeoCluster
This class provides hands-on experience in configuring and using Double-Take©, GeoCluster©, and GeoCluster PLUS© to provide high availability of data and applications. Students will progress logically from basic Microsoft© Cluster Service configuration and testing in a shared disk environment, to using Double-Take©, GeoCluster© , GeoCluster PLUS©, and the Double-Take Application Manager (DTAM) in a clustered environment for high availability and disaster recovery. The class features full lab exercises for protecting Microsoft© SQL Server 2000 using GeoCluster© (for high availability) and GeoCluster PLUS© with DTAM (for disaster recovery). Additionally, using troubleshooting tools such as the Windows Event Viewer, the Double-Take Log, and the Cluster log is also covered.

This is a technical class with exposure to Microsoft Windows 2003 Server, Microsoft Clustering Service, GeoCluster installation, and configuration.

This class is designed to provide you with the baseline skills for installing, configuring, and using Double-Take in your environment. Additionally, you will use some of Double-Take's key features including Double-Take Command Language, orphan file control, bandwidth limiting, and compression. You will also learn how to obtain Double-Take's tools for statistical analysis and troubleshooting.
The class is designed for engineers and administrators who will be supporting Double-Take.
